LOTTO (Low-cost Optical biochip for diagnosis of anaphylaxis at The poinT Of care) – LOTTO was a 10 month project targeting on fast detection and quantification of tryptase, a protein found in patients bloodand and used for the diagnosis of anaphylaxis. The overall objective of the LOTTO project is to develop and test a high-sensitivity tryptase detection prototype system to be used for rapid anaphylaxis diagnosis at the point of care. LOTTO rapid measurement concept could be used in emergency departments, allergy clinics of hospitals and private MDs.
